Fabulous Friday: "Play That Funky Music, White Boy"

I'm not a huge fan of Kathy Griffin but I give in to clickbait on YouTube now and then. I was lured by the headline to a 30-minute vlog post by her, for her web series Talk Your Head Off. The title of the episode was "Kathy's FIRST Fight with Ellen, and How She Won Pulp Fiction the Palme d'Or." How could I not watch it?

I'm not sharing post that but encourage you, if you're also susceptible to clickbait, to check it out on your own. The highlight was her talking about a commercial she had done for Kenwood in which she spoke the lyrics to "Play That Funky Music, White Boy" in a deadpan manner while surrounded by gyrating dancers and wearing a jumpsuit that had been designed by Bob Mackie and worn by Cher for The Sonny and Cher Show. That's a whole lot to unpack, I know. It's easier just to watch the commercial.
