I'm continuing the French theme with my favorite aria ever, "Depuis le jour" from *Louise* by Gustave Charpentier. Impossibly gorgeous, especially as sung here by Leontyne Price. The video is an excerpt from the 1987 film *Aria,* a compilation of short films directed by various directors. This was directed by Derek Jarman and starts Amy Johnson as the old woman thinking back on her life and a very young Tilda Swinton as her younger self.
