One of my favorite filmmakers is Pedro Almodóvar. In the grand scheme of things he's definitely a Diva filmmaker - - his most intensely Diva movie is *Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown* from 1988, a madcap farce, so much fun. His most Menschy movie is *Julieta* from 2016, a straightforward drama, rather low key, effortless storytelling.
