"Hotel California" is one of the most major pop songs of the 70s but I think "New Kid in Town" is an even better song. Years ago I made a detailed outline of all of the things going on in the song in terms of harmony, vocal arrangement, instrumental arrangement, etc. Someday I'm going to put it together in a YouTube video or similar. The song is absolute genius.
