Sunday 12/2 would be Maria Callas's 95th birthday. One of the greatest singers of the 20th century. Here's a concert performance of "O don fatale" from Verdi's *Don Carlo.* The high notes are a little scary, but the drama throughout is freaking PALPABLE, and the pathos in the lyrical central section (around 1:30) is amazing. I also love her walking off and then "But wait a minute!" moment at around 3:54. Totally GIF-worthy.

And whoever put this on YouTube, thank you for including over one minute of bows! Hilarious. The bowing and scraping, the kissing of hands, the floral tributes (including one in a basket), it's priceless.
